A global general ledger harmonization project. In order to consolidate local reporting to regional specific standards i.e. country / regional GAAP and mapping this to International GAAP at the group reporting level in order to offer a more transparent financial reporting standard for the corporation.
Solution
Emergent-i provided a project team and in close cooperation with IBM and CAP GEMINI implemented the solution within 1.5 years of project involvement. This project involved the harmonization of data sourcing from disparate financial systems and sources into a standard format which could be used to communicate with relevant SAP modules and supply the final information to SAP BW.

Client Case
A Business Intelligence (BI) environment which had accumulated heavy maintenance overhead. The management goal was to optimise and reduce maintenance overhead in this environment.
Solution
Emergent-i project team carried out an initial BI audit in order to expose potential areas of overlap within the BI environment and areas involving higher than average maintenance costs. This led to an audit report presentation and subsequent redesign and implementation project in order to re-implement the BI environment components involving higher than average maintenance.

A user group at this client was carrying out a number of routine data preparation tasks manually, the management desired a more automated solution in order to increase operational effectiveness.
Solution
Emergent-i delivered a data mapping tool on a fix priced project term to the client in order to automate the manual data preparation of the target user group. This eliminated a monthly manual preparation labor cost as well as operational process delay due to the manual nature of the original data preparation process.
